This collection consists of 89 First Day Covers from
stamp-issuing entities the world over, in commemoration of the
bicentennial (in 1976) of the American Revolution. Each cover has
its own page, with the back flap sticking ou the back of the page
and the front of the cover showing on the front of the page. Each
page is contained within a plastic cover and all are bound into the
beautiful album you see in the photos. Each page shows a map of the
stamp-issuing entity and gives relevant information. In the front
of the album is the cover page you see in the third photo and a
letter from the director of the Franklin Philatelic Society appears
in the back. The back flap of each FDC consists of a "Certificate
of Authenticity" and signed by the administrator of the American
Revolution Bicentennial Administration. This bound collection is
the creation of the Franklin Philatelic Society. Three of the
covers (i.e. from Ireland, the US and Canada) are shown in the
photographes included herewith.
This album and the collection therein is in absolutely great shape except for the tiny knicks you might notice on the corner of the album in the second photo and the fact that the intro page in photo 3 has a fold along the left edge because it is the one page not protected by plastic covering. The album was given great care and carefully stored in a smoke-free home since it was first purchased. In photos 4 through 6 you will notice that a white card appears over the address portion of each FDC. These cards are NOT attached to the envelopes in any way and were simply placed over that area on top of the plastic so as to protect the privacy of the original addressee shown on the envelopes. The address shown on the envelopes will be left alone and only the successful bidder will see the address shown on each envelope at time of delivery.
This FDC collection will be delivered by FedEx or other secure carrier of my choice to the successful bidder. Delivery to US or Canada address is at no charge to the successful bidder. Please note that the shipping charge to countries outside of North America is only a guestimate and not guaranteed. Please contact me first for freight quote before bidding if from overseas.
